Last month I visited Sicily and while in Agrigento was taken to Villa Romana del Casale near Piazza Armenia . This palace buried beneath mud was discovered relatively recently . Supposedly it is one of the most extraordinary palaces of the Roman Empire . Known specially for its unique ,magnificent, very well preserved mosaics which depict the every day life of the Emperors representative in Sicily .
