I’ve always appreciated how Odysseus gets over on the Cyclops by getting him hammered.
I love the suggestion that civilized people are able to handle their booze while more barbaric people cannot

If being one eyed, bigger, stronger and cruel, often along comes that greater opportunity, initiating from the receiving end others in the moment, to employ counterintuitive actions and save the day...
