Yesterday, the proverb "there is nothing new under the sun" came to my mind as well!! I was reminded also that our phenomena, and ecstatic moments, and struggles, and birth pangs that sorrow can produce, are not that all unique. We are all readers here and reading has proven that the very things causing us those feelings and experiences are the threads that connect us to humanity throughout classical and all of mankind’s history.
A then a couple of minutes of Aaah, Wow, Awesomes and there it goes, there it goes!
Oh well add it to the list of prior BC beheadings, end of wars etc.

Your amount of knowledge on various subjects blows my mind. Not many have heard of Ho / Hi. From what i understand, this story was kept alive from just one guys memory, after all historical records were burned. The ancients definitely took their astronomy very serious, as they seen no difference at all between the nature of the terrestrial to the celestial. So, if the star gazers were off with thier calculation, it was a huge deal, being the posterity of a nation down to the individual health (iatromathematics) hung on the accuracy.
There is another way to look at the Ho Hi myth. Being, the story is eastern myth- this may have been allegorical as pointed out by Isaac Newton and Madame Blavatsky. The secret supreme being of the Egyptians was HU-HI, the Mongolian dual principle, HO and HI, which assimilated to the Sanskrit FOHAT or “Cosmic Energy” and ICHCHA, “Human Will.”
