I smile at this! I am a columnist and just finished a piece on Change quoting our Wise Ones. My painting instructor 40 years ago said we have to just keep readjusting like the original TVs and the rolling lines and "snow," remember? She said Life is Change; the secret to happiness or wholeness?, is to enjoy the process. Now that's aiming high. She said, "The baby bamboo shoot will not grow unless exposed to and strengthened by the elements: sun, wind, snow, rain. Nature, a reflection of "Divinity" or Source. I enjoy your posts. Thank you.
I am really happy to see this topic in particular get such a rich and rewarding. For me, change was thrust upon me early, there wasn't much else happening, so to speak. It came either naturally or as a necessity to me, but it still surprises me to see how deep people's attitude toward change runs. I now think closely about that in a person, including myself. Perhaps I am too comfy with it at times. Kierkegaard's aesthete has under-appreciated skills for moving through change well - but changing ourself rather than changing the world to bring relief from boredom.
