Thank you for the reminder of the fable, Romulus and Remus. There is a certain uniqueness to it, even though it contains propaganda, in a

non-pejorative sense. Think of propaganda as a method to preserve the message, like the onion skin served to protect the mimeograph. Rome is still standing and is cause for celebration.

We essentially & largely use the exact same Roman calendar, so the our calendar year should be 2779, not 2026!

The article makes me think of the statement by Jean Cocteau from his "Autobiography of an Unknown": Histories are truths that turn out to be lies whereas myths are lies that turn out to be truths. Do read this book or better, watch the film which helps make sense of much. It is really a good one.
