Let us not forget the blood-harvesting implement of the Sicarii. For close work, the dagger is small to conceal and long to kill. "Et tu, Brute?" What brutes these mortals be.
Ha ha! It is amazing though to think not that long ago (I mean, when I was a kid at least), it was totally normal to walk around with a swiss army knife...
Back in my college days when you could still travel with a Swiss army knife, the corkscrew was 100% the utility I used the most 😂 Especially when backpacking!

Hey, when I was a kid I carried a pocket knife and frequently a machete. That's still my garden implement of choice to cut branches and such.
Machete’s aren’t daggers, but as boy in the 1950s, no gardener we employed in Jamaica was worth his salt without his trusty machete !
I was raised in Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷
I always believe in carrying a pocket knife. You just never know when there'll be cake or need to stab somebody in the back

Exactly. Back when it was almost considered normal. I still actually have one from my childhood too.
Any bloke who hasn’t had one doesn’t know what he is missing.
Just gave my son in law one for his 43 birthday … didn’t need the cork screw equipped version these days !😉
That's a great gift to bestow on your son in law. He's lucky that you're his father in law.

I've only used my at home for my folks. I don't drink wine but I do think it's an important tool. There's always other uses too 😁
