No mention of St Catherine's Monastery in Sinai where she is credited for persuading Justinian to fortify it so the monks would be safe! Be good to hear something of this Sean

Hi! Great article about Theodora. I will point out, though, that she did not "help found" the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church. This church has been in existence since the first century, and its bishops were among the people who influenced her in her youth. What she did so was take the side of the Syrian Orthodox Church during the Chalcedonian controversy - interestingly, the opposite side that Justinian took. She supported the non-Chalcedonian churches of Alexandria and Antioch, Justinian supported the Chalcedonians. She is canonized, of course, by the non-Chalcedonian Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch, not by the Chalcedonian Eastern Orthodox church.

Disappointed by the lack of geese in this article... Although Prokopios is not exactly reliable, his Secret History deserved an interpretation, or at least a mention
