Ha ha! I'm glad you liked it - I was pretty chuffed to have thought of it, truth be told! As for the "Bowman Dynasty", we are an equal team. You should see our office... it is just two antique desks facing each other, about two feet apart 😂
Wonderful article with great references to gorgeous paintings. I checked the Ruben's painting " Perseus and Andromeda", depicting a beautiful Andromeda, a little on the chunky side, which was the canon of female beauty at the time. I find the Rembrandt's painting of Andromeda somewhat disturbing. There are so many paintings on this subject!
Joyeux Noel to the Classical Wisdom team and readers.
Anya,
“Santa Pause”… just a brilliant use of the language and all of its endearing secrets and possibilities.
I Don’t know if you are the leader or the disciple of the Bowman Dynasty.. but You Two absolutely have the got it so, so right.
Merry Christmas to Each of You and your wider Team.
Keep Going.

A wise and very wry older woman provided me with a bit of advice me as a 20-something, on the topic of marriage….
“For Better or Worse, but Never for Lunch”.
Looks like you two have found a solid workaround for this advice 👏
