I loved this! I took a class on the Middle Ages last year! This was good practice because I definitely didnt retain all of that, but it helped remind me of things I have learned before. I think I forget to go back to things Ive learned because it feels like its already up there, but reading back and clarifying is honestly more fun!
This reminds me of the education system that teaches you to remember long enough to pass a test on the content and not the purpose of retention of the knowledge. Like "smart" Jeopardy contestants that go blank at the simple life questions requiring thought as opposed to memory.
