Weekend Roundup
Absurd Deaths and Letting Go...
Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,
Hello! Anya is busy with the wonderful Classical Wisdom Kids project these days, so it’ll be me, Sean, taking over the Weekend Roundup.
Long time readers will remember me from earlier editions of our newsletters. In the meantime, I’ve been hard at work in the background here at Classical Wisdom as Managing Editor. For those who don’t know me, I’m a Classics lover based in Northern Ireland. I’m looking forward to connecting with you all!
This week we have some fantastic resources for you, including an amusing article about some of the more outlandish deaths from the ancient world. For example, you can read about the Stoic philosopher Chrysippus, who is believed to have laughed himself to death!
For our Members, it’s archaeology week! We have a podcast interview with archaeologist and Professor John K. Papadopoulos about his career and role as Director of Excavations at the Athenian Agora. Plus, a special issue of our magazine Classical Wisdom Litterae dedicated to archaeology.
Classical Wisdom Kids
That’s it for this week! We hope you’re having a great weekend.
All the best,
Sean Kelly
Managing Editor

Glad to hear from you again Sean, just avoid falling turtles. Many will think me silly, but I have lived in Belfast, Dublin and Derry/ Londonderry and turtles falling from the sky can be the least of your problems.
