Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,
What a week!
Here at Classical Wisdom, we’ve been looking at Aristotle on luck, the Treasury at Petra, as well as ancient travel and passports (with even a little bit of Radiohead thrown in). Plus, for our Members, we’ve uploaded our recent event on Jews in the Roman Bathhouse. You can check it all out below!
As for the week ahead, myself and Anya will be taking part in our next Members Only Roundtable Discussion, where we will be discussing James Joyce and the Classics. That’s on Thursday June 29th at Noon EST. We hope to see you there!
If you want a taste of what we’ll be talking about, check out my article from earlier in the month on the relationship between Joyce’s revered novel Ulysses and the Odyssey.
Don’t worry! You do not need to be familiar with Joyce’s works -or have read them- to enjoy this conversation. We will make sure to include both beginners and experts (and everyone in between) in this conversation.
Learn more about the Roundtable Discussion and how to register HERE.
