Thanks for this. I think a lot of people have their mind set on stoicism, especially in recent years, so it only seeks to benefit a person to broaden their philosophy.

Aristotle grounds happiness in a well shaped life. Virtue needs externals like health and friends to let it flourish. The Stoics insist virtue alone suffices. Happiness stands firm no matter what fortune brings.

The tension is sharp and useful. One shapes conditions for virtue to breathe. The other trains us to breathe it anywhere. Most of us live in the middle. Arranging what we can. Holding steady when we cannot.

Grateful for the reminder. The same question persists across centuries.

Conviction holds.
